NEWPORT – The Edward A. Sherman Publishing Co. has been purchased by Gatehouse Media Inc., the Newport Daily News reported Thursday.
The sale includes The Newport Daily News, The Independent, Newport Life Magazine, South County Life Magazine and Mercury, as well as Sherman Publishing’s other publications.
