Providence Chamber to hold annual Garage session

PROVIDENCE – The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce will host its 2017 session of The Garage on Tuesday, May 16, at the WaterFire Arts Center.

This year’s session is centered on the theme “Innovating for Rhode Island’s Future” and will include presentations by the Cambridge Innovation Center, a Massachusetts venture-capital firm, and MassChallenge, a startup accelerator in Boston.

Other panelists include Kelly Ramirez, CEO of Social Enterprise Greenhouse; Kyle Nacci, community manager of the Founders League; Peter Mello, managing director of WaterFire; and Margaret Farrell, partner at Hinkley, Allen & Snyder LLP and co-chair of the Rhode Island Business Plan Competition.

The Garage will also feature a town hall discussion on state innovation programs for businesses, and the Rhode Island Business Plan Competition will name its 2017 competition winners and award prizes valued at $271,000.
