PCHC has an integrated behavioral health program for patients and also recognizes mental health as a priority for employees. One highlight of that commitment is the Mental Health Guide for employees, which was developed this year in partnership with PCHC’s benefits brokers, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, and its internal heads of case management and behavioral health.
The goal was to make the organization’s employee resources easier to access and to have something they could take home and share with their families.
“We openly discuss behavioral health … so that there is no stigma for staff who need services,” said Cheryl Perry, vice president and chief human resources officer.
