PROVIDENCE – Prices for self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline in Rhode Island declined 2 cents this week to $2.58 per gallon, still 12 cents above the national average, AAA Northeast said on Monday.
“Despite recent declines, the remnants of last month’s hurricanes linger,” Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast senior vice president of public and government affairs, said in a statement. “Drivers are paying some 35 cents more for a gallon of gasoline than they did at the same time in 2016.”
