R.I. HOUSING IS ACCEPTING applications for a new funding round through the Acquisition and Revitalization Program, in which $10 million is available through competitive applications to redevelop foreclosed and or blighted properties.
R.I. HOUSING IS ACCEPTING applications for a new funding round through the Acquisition and Revitalization Program, in which $10 million is available through competitive applications to redevelop foreclosed and or blighted properties.

PROVIDENCE – R.I. Housing has announced it is accepting applications for a new funding round through the Acquisition and Revitalization Program, in which $10 million is available through competitive applications to redevelop foreclosed and or blighted properties.

About three-quarters of the available funds will be directed to urban communities, although the program is available statewide.

The program is intended to stabilize neighborhoods and communities by strategically targeting foreclosed and or blighted residential and commercial properties and vacant lots.

The deadline for applications is Aug. 25.
