BRISTOL – The Rhode Island Marine Trades Association will host its first environmental conference for the marine trades on April 9, the association announced.
The Southern New England Marine Industry Environmental Conference will focus on environmental issues for marine businesses with presentations, networking and breakout sessions. Topics will include navigating regulatory issues, managing waste connected with boating and marine products, and making marine operations greener.
Keynote speakers include Dan Wolf, the founder and CEO of Cape Air in Hyannis, Mass., and James Bollerman, the owner of Sandy Hook Bay Marina in Highlands, N.J.
Presenters include Brad Read of Sail Newport, Anthony Baro of PowerDocks LLC, Barbara Cooper of the Gowrie Group, Aaron Mello of the R.I. Department of Environmental Management, Jed Pearsall of Performance Research Group, and many others.
Registration for the full-day event, which includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and a cash bar, can be made here. Tickets cost $150 for RIMTA members, $100 for members 30 and under, and $200 for nonmembers.
The event will be held at University of Rhode Island’s Bay campus at 215 South Ferry Road in Narragansett.
