PROVIDENCE – Several Rhode Island-based real estate brokers were named to the 2018 REAL Trends 500 list, a ranking of the top-performing brokers in the U.S. published by Real Trends, a Colorado-based company that publishes the annual research report on residential sales.
The list ranks firms based on closed transaction sides, and in a separate list by sales volume.

According to its reporting:
Charlestown-based Kinlin Grover, Page Taft & Randall, Realtors came in at No. 263 out of the top 500 firms, with 3,205 closed sides in 2017, up 2 percent from the previous year.
In the comparison of brokers by closed sales volume in 2017, Kinlin Grover, Page Taft & Randall, Realtors was No. 193, with a volume of $1.4 billion in 2017, up 3.8 percent from the previous year.
Residential Properties Ltd., based in Providence, was No. 347 for sales volume, with $794.9 million in closed sales in 2017, up less than 1 percent from the prior year.
The magazine also provided additional rankings for firms affiliated with global brand names. It tracked:

Among these, the following Rhode Island-based firms were noted:
- HomeSmart Professionals Real Estate, of Warwick, was listed as a top affiliate for that brand. It had two offices and closed 1,295 sides in 2017.
- Keller Williams Realty Leading Edge, of Cumberland, was listed as a top affiliate for that brand, with one office and 1,420 closed sides in 2017.
- Keller Williams Realty of Newport, based in Middletown, also was listed as a top affiliate, with one office and 844 closed sides.
- Residential Properties Ltd., affiliated with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, was listed No. 73 out of 142 affiliates. It had 1,852 closed sides in 2017.
Among RE/MAX affiliates:
- RE/MAX Preferred, Town & Country and Properties, of North Providence, was listed as a top affiliate with 1,690 closed sides last year.
- RE/MAX Professionals, of East Greenwich, was listed with 1,006 closed sides.
- RE/MAX Central, in Coventry, had 608 closed sides.
- RE/MAX River’s Edge, of Barrington, had 605 closed sides.
In other affiliates:
- Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, of Charlestown, had 728 closed sides.
