PROVIDENCE – East Providence is one of the best small cities to start a business, WalletHub said Monday.
East Providence ranked 38th on a list of 1,261 small-sized cities, defined as cities with a population between 25,000 and 100,000, according to the financial services website.

Among those categories, factors studied included average length of work week, number of startups per capita, average revenue per business, average growth in number of small businesses, financing accessibility, office space affordability, labor costs, corporate taxes and cost of living.

Holland, Mich., ranked first on the list as the best small city to run a business. Last on the list was Suisun City, Calif.
