Cranston, RI – January 30, 2014 – The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) is proud to announce that Monika Nair of Pawtucket, RI has been promoted to Member Services and Communications Manager.
Previously, Nair worked as Marketing Coordinator and Executive Assistant to Dale Venturini, the President and CEO of RIHA. Prior to joining RIHA, Nair worked for State Street Corporation in Quincy, MA, first as a Fund Accountant, and then as a Cash and Custody Specialist, where she worked on a variety of cash balance related efforts, managed and trained a team of associates, and created and distributed client specific training manuals.

In her new role as Member Services and Communications Manager at RIHA, Nair will provide analysis on membership figures, recommend steps for membership retention and expansion, and develop and administer a process for identifying and monitoring potential members. She will also manage RIHA’s internal communications, market RIHA events and seminars, develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to highlight the work of RIHA, and coordinate RIHA’s social media accounts. Nair will also continue to work closely with Venturini as her Executive Assistant.

Nair earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business with a minor in Spanish from the University of Massachusetts. She currently resides in Pawtucket, RI.
