RIHTA recognized for membership growth

CRANSTON – The Rhode Island Hospitality and Tourism Association last week announced it has been named a 2008 Chairman’s Cup winner by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
The award is given to state lodging associations that witness significant increases in membership and retention rates.
RIHTA, which has more than 500 food-service and hospitality members across the Ocean State, received honors in the category of markets with 25,000 hotel rooms or fewer. •
