The developer is Gerald Fandetti, president of Cambridge, Mass-based GNF Associates. Together with his wife, Charlotte, the Fandettis own a family-run business and have developed and operate a number of hotel and hospitality-related projects in Massachusetts. The largest is the 77-room Kendall Hotel in Cambridge.
The I-195 commission agenda Tuesday includes a presentation by the Fandettis, called the Kendall Hotel Group, a period for public comment, and a scheduled vote by the commission on whether to approve a Level 1 application, or a preliminary approval.
The site is Parcel 1A, on South Water Street, a 0.28-acre parcel just north of the landing on the east side for the pedestrian bridge.
