BRISTOL – Provost Andrew A. Workman was named interim president of Roger Williams University on July 10 by the school’s board of trustees.
The appointment followed the July 5 death of former RWU President Donald J. Farish.
During a July 9 meeting in which Workman was appointed interim president, the board also selected Jerome Williams to serve as interim chief operating officer and executive vice president for finance. Previously, Williams was the executive vice president for finance and administration.
The school said its search for the next president will continue as planned when Farish announced his planned retirement for the end of the 2018-2019 academic year.
The board has hired Isaacson, Miller to conduct the executive search.
