SCLT celebrates 25th year with Rare & Unusual Plant Sale

PROVIDENCE – Celebrating its 25th year, the Southside Community Land Trust Rare & Unusual Plant Sale at City Farm will be held May 20-21.

Attendees can expect to find thousands of sustainably-grown annuals and perennials as well as fruit and vegetable plant starts – including 65 varieties of non-GMO organic and heirloom tomato plants.

SNAP and EBT nutrition incentives will be accepted as payment for vegetable plant starts by SCLT.

The sale, which saw 2,000 customers last year, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 168 West Clifford on the corner of Dudley Street. Current SCLT members are invited to shop the selection early from 9-10 a.m.
