Seasonally soft demand drops R.I., Mass. gas prices

PROVIDENCE – The average weekly price of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline in Rhode Island decreased 3 cents to $2.94 per gallon. That price is 4 cents higher than the national average and 1 cent lower than a year ago, AAA Northeast said Monday.  Northeast gasoline prices continued to decline as oil gets cheaper and inventories expand on seasonally soft demand,
