PROVIDENCE – The Social Enterprise Greenhouse will be accepting applicants for its 2019 Impact and Food Accelerator programs through Oct. 1.

Per the Tuesday announcement, SEG is seeking “motivated and coachable social entrepreneurs with a feasible food, environment, or general social impact venture.”

The next Food Accelerator begins in January followed by the next Impact Accelerator in February. Per SEG, the accelerators are designed to “stimulate innovation in Rhode Island and to help create more successful, sustainable ‘Do Well, Do Good’ businesses.” Both upcoming programs are 12-week blended learning models which provide entrepreneurs with introductions to the necessary tools, networks and resources to establish and grow their businesses.

However, the 2019 Impact Accelerator will feature environmental impact ventures as part of SEG’s Water, Energy and Environment initiative.

One-on-one business coaching, mentorship and access to SEG’s shared work space at 10 Davol Square are also benefits offered to successful applicants.

Upon graduation, participants are given priority access to the SEG Loan Fund which provides, among other funds, necessary growth capital.
