SJ Corio to auction off Paramount Cards assets

WARWICK – Auction house SJ Corio Co. last week said it will handle the sale of more than 2,000 items from the inventory of Paramount Cards Inc.
The century-old company, based in Pawtucket, was the nation’s third-largest greeting card manufacturer until its abrupt closure on July 21.
Hallmark Cards and Designer Greetings are among the buyers that already have acquired major assets of their former competitor.
Remaining assets are to be sold in a two-day auction, beginning Feb.
8, in the former Paramount factory at 400 Pine St., Pawtucket, SJ Corio said.
