Spaulding to open third outpatient center in R.I.

CARE NEW ENGLAND partners with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, which is opening a third Spaulding Outpatient Center in Rhode Island this week.

PROVIDENCE – The Spaulding Outpatient Center at Kent County Memorial Hospital will open its third location this week.

The center will offer treatment for people who have had a stroke or spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and sports injuries, among other conditions. Staffing includes clinical experts and physical and occupational therapists who specialize in sports medicine and orthopedics.

The new facility is located in the building on Butler Drive in Providence, formerly occupied by University Orthopedics. Its official opening is planned for Oct. 1.

Spaulding also operates centers in East Greenwich and Pawtucket.

Its offerings include sports medicine, orthopedic injuries, foot, ankle, spine, hand and wrist rehabilitation, arthritis care, manual therapy and other services.

Care New England Health System, which owns Kent Hospital, partners with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, a national network of rehabilitation centers.
