PROVIDENCE – Continuing an expansion that has more than doubled the number of hotels in its portfolio in the past six months, Rhode Island-based StepStone Hospitality absorbed the Ames Boston Hotel.
The hospitality management company now has 11 hotels in its portfolio.

“We’re eager to grow our hotel portfolio and the Ames is an excellent addition for us,” StepStone Hospitality chairman and CEO Thomas Russo said in a statement. “This is a world-class property with an exceptional location in one of America’s most historic and vibrant cities.”
StepStone’s new acquisition is located in “the heart of Boston,” at 1 Court St., near Faneuil Hall and Beacon Hill. “This unique property contrasts modern style with historic sophistication to provide a unique guest experience,” said Blair Wills, StepStone Hospitality president and chief operating officer.
The hotel has 114 rooms and can cater to business meetings with up to 55 guests.
