PAWTUCKET – Many parents describe themselves as hating math, so it’s no surprise that is an area where many students fall behind. Math continuously builds on previously learned topics, so it’s important parents get help for struggling students sooner rather than later. Rhode Island Tutorial and Educations Services explains a few warning signs parents should be looking for.
Children who are struggling will often claims to “hate” math class and have difficulty following simple steps to solve problems. Due to this, the child will be reluctant to do homework, struggle to focus, and will become easily frustrated when working with numbers. If this sounds like your child, it may be time to ask for help.
