T.F. Green, Frontier Airlines add 6 cities

WARWICK – Frontier Airlines will soon offer service to six new cities with low-fare travel from T.F. Green Airport , the Rhode Island Airport Corp. announced Tuesday.

The announcement of travel to the new cities – Charlotte, N.C.; Fort Myers, Fla.; Miami; New Orleans; Tampa, Fla.; and Raleigh, N.C. – follows the announcement in May of Frontier travel to Denver and Orlando, Fla., from Providence to begin in mid-August.

Travel to most of the destinations announced Tuesday will begin in October, with flights to Charlotte and Raleigh beginning sometime in spring 2018.

“This has been our sixth announcement since January, four new airlines, two with multiple announcements, including Frontier,” said Jon Savage, chairman of the R.I. Airport Corp. board of directors. “Our focus has not only been on new destinations, but recapturing popular markets that are important to our customers.”
