CRANSTON – The Taco Family of Companies, parent of Taco Comfort Solutions, has named Cheryl Merchant president of the Taco Family of Companies, North America, Taco Family owner and CEO John Hazen White Jr. announced Thursday.
Merchant will begin in the role Jan. 1. The previous president was Wil VandeWiel, who left Taco in August when White re-assumed his role as CEO.
Merchant had served as president and CEO of Hope Global Industries for 19 years.
“Cheryl’s addition to our senior leadership team will ensure Taco’s continued success as a high-performing, customer-focused company,” said White in prepared remarks. “Cheryl’s track record at Hope Global speaks for itself, and we are fortunate to have her join the Taco family.”
Hope Global could not be reached immediately for comment.
Taco also announced that it had appointed Vice President of Taco International Luca Bolcati as president of Taco International, a new position, effective Jan 1.
