Town hall meeting to focus on health care, benefits for veterans

PROVIDENCE – Health care and benefits for veterans are slated as the main focus of a joint town hall meeting scheduled for next month at the Providence VA Medical Center.

The meeting, although geared for those who are either receiving health care from the VA medical center or benefits from the Veterans Benefits Administration office in Providence, is open to all veterans, according to Providence VA spokesman Winfield Danielson.

Representatives from the Providence VA Medical Center, the regional benefits office and the R.I. Office of Veterans Services will be on hand.

“Get an update on veteran health care and benefits, and let us answer your questions,” said Erin Clare Sears, acting director of the Providence Healthcare System.
