PROVIDENCE – Great food can now be just a download away, as UberEats, an on-demand food-delivery app, is available in Providence, East Providence, Cranston and Pawtucket.

The app brings customers food deliveries from the full menus of Providence-area restaurants including Julian’s, PVDonuts, Rasoi and Milk Money, according to UberEats. It promises fresh food, fast.

“Partnering with UberEats gives us the opportunity to bring our fresh, local and sustainable food right to the people of Providence,” said Jared Melei, owner of Milk Money.

The local service means restaurants can serve a broader market, said UberEats General Manager Cathy Zhou, “enabling restaurants and chefs to connect with more customers.” Customers, meanwhile, can benefit from a broader range of food options.

To use UberEats, customers need to download the UberEats app via iTunes, or go to ubereats.com and log in with their Uber account. Users then plug in their address where they would like food delivered, browse menus and place an order to arrive immediately, or schedule it to arrive later. Just like with Uber rides, customers can track the progress of the UberEats driver and the delivery.
