Unetixs in full production of Revo diagnostic tool

NORTH KINGSTOWN – Unetixs Vascular Inc., a medical device maker specializing in cardiovascular disease diagnostics, last week announced that it is in full production of the Revo 1100, a system to detect peripheral arterial disease.
The portable device is designed for general use in the doctor’s office, incorporating technology normally found in lab-based equipment but configured, packaged and priced for physicians.
The Revo establishes a patient’s ankle brachial index, a key measure to detect PAD, a condition that affects 12 million people in the United States alone and can make it difficult for people to walk, among other things.
“Cardiologists, primary care physicians and podiatrists will appreciate the speed and accuracy of Revo,” said Peter Moscovita, president and CEO of Unetixs, in a news release. “The Revo is entirely manufactured by Unetixs. Our quality standards are built into our sensors, cuffs, carts and accessories. Nothing, except the printer, is off the shelf.”
