Wennes appointed CEO of Santander Bank

PROVIDENCE – Timothy Wennes has been named the next CEO and president of Santander Bank N.A., parent Santander Holdings USA Inc. announced Wednesday.

Wennes’ appointment will be effective Sept. 16. He succeeds Duke Dayal, who was named chief financial officer of Santander UK. Dayal currently serves as CEO of Santander Bank N.A. and chief financial officer of Santander U.S.

Wennes will report to Santander U.S. CEO Scott Powell. Wennes most recently served as West Coast President and Head of the Regional Bank at MUFG Union Bank N.A.

The organization also announced the appointment of Juan Carlos Alvarez as chief financial officer of Santander U.S. and Santander Bank N.A., along with other appointments at Santander Consumer.
