100 Club of R.I. gives $25K for R.I. Fire Academy

The 100 Club of Rhode Island recently presented the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs with a $25,000 educational grant, which will be used to help purchase equipment for hazardous-materials training at the R.I. Fire Academy.
“Proper training is crucial to protect our firefighters and our communities, and this grant will be used to purchase new equipment for training and education of our state’s first-responders,” said Stephen Cronin, president of The 100 Club of Rhode Island.
The 100 Club of Rhode Island is a private charitable organization with more than 1,700 members whose mission is to support those who serve as police officers, firefighters and paramedics, as well as their families. •
