WARWICK – Pinnacle Hotel Management recently announced its intention to build a $30 million, 140-room Residence Inn by Marriott in City Centre Warwick.

The location is on Montebello Road.

Johnson & Wales University in March announced the sale of the 8-acre Radisson property, including the land for the new hotel and the now-unoccupied Legal Sea Foods building, to Pinnacle. The Florida-based developer purchased the site for $7.5 million and agreed to continue to operate the existing hotel as a Radisson property.

The new, six-story Residence Inn hotel will cover 102,669 square feet. Construction began in December.

Pinnacle had previously owned and operated a Residence Inn on Kilvert Street in Warwick, which it sold to another brand. Since the sale, the company has searched for new development sites.
