401 Tech Bridge, Naval XC Northeast Tech Bridge launch $50K innovation USV challenge

PORTSMOUTH – With a U.S. Navy requirement for an unmanned surface vehicle that is low maintenance and reusable, 401 Tech Bridge and Naval XC Northeast Tech Bridge have teamed up to offer a theoretical design challenge, offering a $50,000 prize.

The modular, expeditionary security USV will need to have the ability to be shipped in a 20-foot shipping container and be assembled on-site in under two hours, according to 401 Tech Bridge. It will also need to be capable of towing multiple payloads.
