PROVIDENCE – Wayland Square has lost a longtime business. Comina, a home-furnishings store, closed last week and will consolidate its operations to two existing stores in suburban Boston.
The family-owned business had operated in a variety of locations in Providence over the past 30 years, said an owner, Amy Nicholas. Its latest location was at 199 Wayland St.

She cited the retail climate, among other factors, and said sales did not sustain the business in its Providence location. The business has locations in Wellesley and Concord, in Massachusetts.
