“For aspiring entrepreneurs, this is a golden opportunity to get a great start with your idea for a business or nonprofit,” according to the group.
The grand prize winner will receive $1,000. Second and third places win $750 and $500, respectively. An additional $500 will be given to the “fan favorite,” determined by an audience vote via text message.
The competition is free to apply and attend, and the accelerator will serve pizza. It will be held at the Boa Vista Towers at 134 South Second St., New Bedford.
