PROVIDENCE – The Drop Shop LLC, a consignment retail store, is scheduled to open soon on Mathewson Street downtown, an area of the city that is undergoing revitalization.
The store will occupy a portion of 182 Mathewson St., a historical building that dates to 1870, which has retail on the ground floor.

The store is next to the Lapham Building, which is undergoing an extensive renovation into apartments, and across from several commercial buildings that were renovated two years ago.
The Drop Shop plans to open Sept. 14, according to a post on Instagram. It will feature streetwear, sneakers and other consigned items.
