PROVIDENCE – Florida-based defense contactor and aerospace company L3Harris Technologies Inc. officially opened its $6 million maritime production facility at the Port of Providence on Wednesday.  The new 50,000-square-foot facility will “support advanced undersea training systems for the U.S. Navy and allied forces” and will help strengthen Rhode Island’s longstanding maritime industrial base and ties to the Navy, L3Harris said
