For instance, the East Greenwich-headquartered company recently covered the entry fee for all employees participating in a BoldrDash obstacle course race – and were there to root them on.

“They’re very employee-centric,” said Kevin Lovett, senior vice president of employer benefits at Gencorp Insurance Group, who helps facilitate Dave’s wellness effort.

Indeed, Dave’s has a proven track record of promoting health and wellness.

As a self-insured group, the company offers enrolled employees and their spouses a deductible subsidy if they meet three requirements: Complete a routine physical exam, participate in a biometric screening and engage in at least one wellness activity

The results? Diagnosis of early-onset diabetes has increased, as has employees engaged in preventative care – such as mammograms and colonoscopies. n
