Mitta is a graduate of Brown University, obtaining her B.A. in history of art and architecture and her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she earned the title of chief resident of internal medicine and pediatrics.
