The event comes as Eastern Bank parent Eastern Bankshares Inc. continues its expansion into Rhode Island following its acquisition of HarborOne Bancorp.

Eastern Bankshares completed the acquisition in November 2025, adding about $4.5 billion in loans and $4.3 billion in deposits and expanding its Eastern Bank branch network into Rhode Island.

The combined bank now has more than 120 banking locations across eastern Massachusetts, southern and coastal New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
