NORTH KINGSTOWN – Although the new multiuse athletic fields located within the Quonset Business Park will open next fall, much work has been completed over the past year, the Quonset Development Corp. announced Dec. 16.
Construction of the fields covering more than 22 acres near the intersection of Fletcher and Newcomb roads began in August. Since then, the fields have been graded and fully seeded. A new parking lot has been created and the installation of fencing and a guard rail has been completed.
