Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England recently awarded a $25,000 grant to Providence Community Health Centers. The funds will support the purchase of equipment for three pediatric exam rooms in the organization’s new health center.
Providence Community Health Center provides neighborhood-based medical care to residents of Providence and the surrounding communities regardless of economic situation. According to Providence Community Health Center CEO Merrill Thomas, the organization provides health and dental services to 15,966 children in the community.
“For more than 20 years, [Ronald McDonald House Charities] of Eastern New England has created, identified and supported programs which directly improve the health and well-being of thousands and thousands of local children and families every year,” said Karen McEachern, executive director, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England. “We’re proud to support Providence Community Health Centers to help ensure that all children and their families have a brighter tomorrow.”
So far, Providence Community Health Centers has received $75,000 in grants from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England. •
