NEIT revamps degree in electronic engineering

WARWICK – The New England Institute of Technology announced on Dec. 15 it now has an associate in science degree in electronic systems engineering technology.
The degree is actually a name change from “electronic engineering technology.” The new name is intended to reflect that a systems approach will now be emphasized and will include courses in emerging technologies such as renewable energy and biomedical systems.
“Beginning with electronic foundation core courses and culminating in electronic systems, the curriculum provides the knowledge required to succeed in this modern high-tech field,” said Thomas F. Wylie, provost and senior vice president at the New England Institute of Technology. &#8226
