Heart Ball raises $120K and honors Swarovski

Guests and sponsors of the Southern New England Heart Ball at the Marble House last month helped the American Heart Association raise more than $120,000.The evening featured a live auction, Russell Morin Fine Catering and the musical talents of the Mac Chrupcala Orchestra.
Daniel Cohen, member of the Swarovski executive board, received the Civic Leadership Award. Swarovski and its employees have donated more than $876,000 to the American Heart Association since the beginning of their partnership in 1990.
Other Heart Ball sponsors included FGX International, O’Neill Consulting Group, Tiffany & Co., GLAD WORKS, The Savory Grape, Newport Storm and Providence Business News. Every sponsorship dollar given through the 2010 Southern New England Heart Ball will help fund scientific research, conduct lifesaving public and professional educational programs, and advocate for public health. In Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the Heart Association currently funds more than $38 million in scientific research. •
