NBIC launches policyholder Web site

PAWTUCKET – The Narragansett Bay Insurance Co. says it has overhauled its Web site so it provides consumers with information and services that the company hopes will keep homes safe.
NBIC, which markets insurance products and services in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island through a network of independent agents, said the redesigned site – www.mynbic.com – details the company’s custom options, deductibles, discounts and rapid claims service. It also highlights the ShelterPride program, which provides an in-home appraisal, with every new policy, that reviews a home’s exposure and offers recommendations for avoiding losses and receiving available credits.
Narragansett Bay also has developed an online portal for its agents that also serves as the home base for its proprietary underwriting and quoting systems.
The changes are part of a series of technical initiatives in 2010 that NBIC says will improve efficiency and customer service.
Narragansett Bay Insurance Co., based in Pawtucket, offers specialty insurance services and products to homeowners through a network of independent agents along the Eastern seaboard. Additional information is available at www.nbic.com.
