The Massachusetts Medical Society is sponsoring a discussion of health care reform’s impact on minority populations on Thursday, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Hiebert Lounge of the Boston University School of Medicine, in Boston.
This program will take a detailed look at the current state of health insurance coverage in Massachusetts and the demographics of those enrolled. Special attention will be given to the care of racial and minority populations since the reform’s implementation.
In particular, the session will look at work force diversity and access to primary care and other services. The legislative and financial challenges of health care reform in the state will also be highlighted.
The event is co-sponsored by the Boston University Medical Campus and the Disparities Solutions Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. Continuing-education credits will be provided to physicians in proportion to their participation level in the activities.
