ATTLEBORO – Bufftree Building Co. has completed construction and renovation of a former mill building into its new Attleboro Corporate Campus, complete with “smart classroom” technology, for Bristol Community College (BCC).
The 25,000-square-foot space, which had been used for manufacturing, has been split up and converted into classrooms, two computer labs, conference space, a library and health science, chemistry and biology labs, BCC’s Attleboro campus Dean Kathy Torpey Garganta told Providence Business News in July. The facility also includes full theater and cafeteria.
Several classrooms have “SMART Board” interactive whiteboards, which are large touch-sensitive screens that can relay computer images.
The building had formerly been used by Texas Instruments. E. Randy Jarvis Architects of New Bedford designed the project.
The $4 million project was started in 2006, when Bufftree bought the building.
