Warren manufacturer agrees to EPA penalties

BOSTON – A Warren-based boat manufacturer has accepted terms of a settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that will have the company paying $195,000 in penalties for a variety of violations.
According to an EPA news release last week, B Pearson Composites LLC violated emission standards, work-practice standards, reporting and monitoring provisions of the federal regulations. The agency also said that once notified, the company corrected the problems. (READ MORE)
According to the release, exposure to methyl methacrylate harms human health by irritating the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.
