ACLU: Federal officials conspired to arrest, detain undocumented immigrants seeking legalization

PROVIDENCE – Documents released Aug. 13 reveal U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials collaborated to “trap” undocumented immigrants seeking to legalize their status to detain, arrest and deport them, according to the American Civil Liberties Union of Rhode Island.
