NEWPORT – Adler Pollock & Sheehan PC has opened a new location in Newport, the law firm announced Tuesday, adding that the business law practice will seek to assist members of the Newport County business community with issues ranging from environmental litigation to corporate and real estate use.
The Newport office will rely on lawyers moving from other locations rather than creating new positions, a firm spokeswoman told Providence Business News. The firm currently employs more than 70 lawyers across the region.
The law firm already has offices in Providence, Boston and Manchester, N.H., where it works with a wide variety of businesses, nonprofit organizations, individuals and public agencies. It is also a member of several international law firm networks.
Adler Pollock & Sheehan was founded in 1960.
“We are excited to become part of the Newport business community and look forward to offering our clients the convenience of a Newport location,” Robert P. Brooks, managing partner of the firm, said in a prepared release.
