Four generations later, great-grandson Eric Ahlborg founded Ahlborg Construction Corp. in 2009 and – with his siblings – ventured in a new direction while expanding the family’s legacy of success.
“That’s our slogan: We build on our reputation every day,” said Glenn R. Ahlborg, vice president and director of construction operations.
Almost 100 years after their great-grandfather launched in America, revenues are growing like never before – by 52.7% from 2021 to 2023, when the company reached $61.7 million. Ahlborg also expanded its workforce by about 25% in that time.
Glenn Ahlborg attributes the expansion to completing all projects on time, meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations on every project and resolving concerns before they evolve into complex disputes requiring litigation – there’s never been any, Ahlborg said.
“We’ve established such a high standard; that has helped our business,” he said.
