“We partner with clients who share our values to take on big projects and new ideas,” Geertman said. “In working to help solve our client’s problems, intangible skills can make a difference, even more so than what’s on a person’s resume.”

Geertman, who grew up overseas on a military base, said things were always changing, including the political climate, safety, and friends coming and going every two years.

“I’ve also traveled all over the world. These experiences helped me adapt, work together as a team, pay attention to details, build relationships and provide creative solutions,” she said.

Since joining the company in 2021, Geertman’s rise has been meteoric. She held various roles, including project manager, project director and now managing director in less than three years.

Geertman is also proud of her work with the R.I. Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals on the Imani Community Recovery Program, a faith-based, community-driven substance abuse recovery initiative that they sponsor.

“It’s a culturally responsive program hosted by Black and Latinx churches to address the opioid crisis,” she said. “We are the administrative services organization and provide financial administration and project management for the program, which started in early 2023.”

Perhaps her most indelible contribution to the company has been her internal leadership, first with the project management team and now the entire staff. Geertman instituted companywide policies, designed to improve cross-team collaboration, standardize best practices and model expectations.

Geertman was the driving force behind building a rigorous project management approach that ensures all client work is executed seamlessly, with clear timelines, regular updates and meticulous attention to detail.

“This has led to Reach’s excellence in delivering impactful campaigns that exceed client expectations and drive significant advancements in public health and community well-being across Rhode Island,” Geertman said.”
