PROVIDENCE – A luxury condominium development nearing completion at the site of the former Katharine Gibbs School aims to attract nearby residents who “no longer need a larger, older home but do not want to leave the East Side,” the developers said this week.
The development – dubbed 77 South Angell – is a four-story brick building with condos ranging from 1,600 square feet to 2,815 square feet, according to the developers, The Armory Revival Co. and Myles Standish Associates, who broke ground for the project in June 2007. (READ MORE)
The development “will offer a type of residence that is not currently available on the East Side, but is very much desired,” said Robert E. Dupré Jr., a principal in Armory. “The appointments, fixtures and finishes are some of the nicest being offered in Providence and the location is unmatched.”
The condos are priced from $785,000 to $1.65 million. Included in that price, Armory Revival said, will be a heated garage, oversized master suites, living room fireplaces and kitchens for “those who love to cook or entertain.”
“This project offers yet another exciting alternative for the growing number of people drawn to our great city,” Mayor David N. Cicilline said in a statement marking the groundbreaking last year. “The Armory Revival Co. continues to be a strong partner in our efforts to expand our tax base and revitalize our neighborhoods.”
