WEST WARWICK – Arpin Group Inc. announced Tuesday it has purchased Affiliated Transportation Systems Inc. of Lawton, Okla., and eight of its affiliated companies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Affiliated Transportation is a household goods service provider that primarily serves military personnel and had more than $32 million in billings in 2009, according to Arpin.

“This acquisition will provide significant opportunities for Arpin Van Lines’ agents to pack and haul shipments that are booked by ATSI,” President and CEO David Arpin said in a statement.
Arpin Group is the holding company for Arpin Van Lines, Arpin International Group, Creative Storage Solutions and Arpin Broadcast Network LLC.
Affiliated Transportation’s headquarters will remain in Oklahoma and it will continue to operate independently of Arpin Group’s other firms. Its senior vice president, Ron McDonald, will report to Matt Dolin, Arplin’s senior vice president and chief operating officer.
