Bank Rhode Island hires Brito as new manager for business banking

PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island has hired Joseph Brito as vice president/business banking relationship manager, the bank announced.

Brito’s duties include developing and maintaining commercial lending and deposit relationships throughout BankRI’s service area of Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

Prior to joining BankRI, Brito was vice president/business relationship manager with Santander Bank. He also spent 13 years with Citizens Bank in a variety of positions, including as part of the bank’s Rhode Island Leadership Team.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix.

BankRI, among the largest consumer banks in the state, is a subsidiary of Boston-based Brookline Bancorp Inc.
